Peter Fromberg serves as a Business Development Manager at KonTerra. He brings ten years of experience in fundraising and business development, with a specialization in the humanitarian and peacebuilding sectors.
With a genuine passion for helping organizations grow and a strong belief in the power of innovation, Peter has built his career at the intersection of strategic development and humanitarian action. Most recently, he served as Business Development Manager at a consulting firm specializing in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), where he supported the firm’s growth across humanitarian and stabilization portfolios. Prior to this, he worked with a humanitarian NGO based in Copenhagen, and began his professional journey in Amman, contributing to research centers focused on youth and refugee studies. His regional expertise spans the Middle East — including Syria, Turkey, and Yemen — with additional experience across humanitarian contexts in Ukraine, Somalia, and Sudan. He has developed a keen interest in evaluations and learning as tools for accountability and improvement, and closely follows emerging trends in localization and the application of AI in the humanitarian space.
Peter holds a degree in Middle East Studies, which continues to inform his contextual understanding and thematic focus. He is based in Berlin and, outside of work, enjoys hiking, reading, and tending to his plants.
