Thursday, May 15, 2025 (8:00-9:30am EDT): LEADING THROUGH UNCERTAINTY AND LOSS (for Mission Directors/Deputy Mission Directors)
This session is limited to Mission Directors and Deputy Mission Directors
The demands of leading a USAID Mission, especially during this period of closure, often leave little room for personal reflection. As a follow up to the webinar on May 7, this 90-minute discussion group provides a vital opportunity for Mission Directors and Deputy Mission Directors to come together in a more intimate setting and focus on their own well-being. Connect with fellow leaders who understand the unique pressures and emotions of this moment. Share your experiences, learn from how others are navigating this transition, and collectively process the personal impact of the dismantling of USAID. Limited to 30 participants, this is a dedicated space to acknowledge your own journey, find support among peers, and prioritize your well-being as you continue to lead.
Thursday, May 22, 2025 (9:00-10:30am EDT): Discussion Group for ISCs/PSCs/Fellows
For those ISCs, PSCs, Fellows and others who were separated from USAID earlier this year, we understand that this transition may have presented unique challenges and you experienced a different level of support compared to career employees. This 90-minute discussion group is specifically for you – a dedicated time to connect with others who share a similar experience. This is an opportunity to feel seen, to openly process the emotions that have arisen from the dismantling of USAID, and to offer and receive support from peers who understand the specific circumstances you’ve faced. Come together with peers in a confidential space to feel heard, validated, and empowered as you move forward.
Thursday, May 29, 2025 (9:00-10:30am EDT): GRIEVING A JOB WHILE FINDING A NEW ONE
If you found the webinar on grieving a job while finding a new one helpful, we invite you to join this 90-minute discussion group for a more interactive and supportive experience. This smaller setting provides a chance to connect with fellow current and former USAID employees to share personal experiences and strategies for navigating the emotional and practical aspects of job transition. We’ll create a confidential space to further discuss feelings of loss, address the challenges of reframing your skills and managing self-doubt, explore ways to stay motivated during the job search, and collectively cultivate hope and resilience. Come prepared to share, listen, and support one another in this important journey.
If you have questions, please email implementation@konterragroup.net. These sessions are offered through the auspices of Aid Transition Alliance and are open to all current and former USAID employees, regardless of hiring mechanism.
What is the Aid Transition Alliance? Senior women leaders came together in February 2025 to establish an emergency project to support all USAID staff. The project focuses on communication campaigns around the value of humanitarian and development assistance, crisis interventions for mental health and wellness, career transition support, and capturing decades of international development knowledge and expertise. With the support and fiscal sponsorship of Forward Global Philanthropy, the Aid Transition Alliance (AidTA) project launched in April 2025.
